About Advance Behavioral Health Prevention California (ABHPC)
Advance Behavioral Health Prevention California (ABHPC) is an innovative training and technical assistance (TTA) program for behavioral health services in California. ABHPC works to enhance primary prevention through training events, individualized technical assistance, professional development opportunities, and on-demand resources.
As part of the Department of Health Care Services Big 5 by 2025 initiative, ABHPC focuses on behavioral health using evidence-based strategies and best practices in primary prevention, as well as utilizing an approach that centers the social drivers of health and a community-centered lens.
Keep an eye out for additional information and TTA opportunities under ABHPC, including virtual and in person training events, workforce mentorship and sustainability opportunities, and more!
ABHPC is funded by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) with TTA administered through the Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS). The CARS ABHPC TTA team works in coordination with DHCS and with a pool of expert consultants to provide services.
