Overview:

Prevention work is most impactful when it connects across issues, sectors, and communities. This session focuses on putting Shared Risk and Protective Factor (SRPF) concepts into action to improve community outcomes and strengthen collaborative prevention systems. Participants will be guided through an action planning process to assess current efforts, identify alignment opportunities, and build partnerships that address interconnected challenges like substance use, mental health, academic disengagement, and community violence. Drawing from the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), we’ll explore how SRPFs can serve as a unifying framework to support cross-sector integration and elevate community voice in shaping solutions. Participants will leave with a practical roadmap to implement community-informed strategies and track outcomes that matter locally, moving from insight to sustained impact. This session will be especially useful for coalitions, county partners, and organizations ready to deepen their coordination and co-lead with community members.
